This book is dedicated to Jesus Christ, who’s spirit and presence fills every page. But out of sensitivity to separation of church and state and respect for our Jewish, Islamic, Rastafarian, Buddhist and non-religious students and staff, His name is not mentioned.

Also to A. D. Strickland, our drafting instructor and web master, who suggested these Chaplain Chats be written and posted on our Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Chaplaincy webpage for the inspiration of our students and staff.

This book is also dedicated to my lovely wife, Mary Jane, who was my first volunteer in our chapel program. Mary Jane is an intercessor, mentor, worship coordinator and treasurer for the chaplaincy. This book is also dedicated to Darlene Ritenour our intercessor and Teresa Marshall, a former graduate and current volunteer pianist for our chapel services. And to our students, some of whom you will see in these pages. You can see the pathos and peace on their faces.

Finally, this book and all it’s proceeds are dedicated to the Chapel Fund of our Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, Council of Organizations to provide for the on going support of our chaplaincy program
